I want to configure my VKB Gladiator NXT so that when I hold a designated shift button (physical line 11, configured as Shift1 momentary), pressing the POV hat directions fires a second set of logical buttons instead of the normal ones — effectively giving me a shifted layer on the hat.
I had already been using physical line 11 as SHIFT1 momentary (logical 5), and have been using it for months now with my other buttons. I just changed POV #1 (common/pov) to HAT 4w/ButtonsV, starting with physical line 37 (37-40 were unused).
I then set physical 37-40 to button type, activating logical 30-33 (unused) and shifted logical 110-113 (unused).
After setting and testing the configuration, I can confirm that logical 30-33 is registering as expected, but 110-113 is not responding to the shift button. I know the shift is registering, because I see the SHIFT1 indicator in the tester, and all my other shifted buttons are firing. But when I hold shift and the pov hat, it's just showing both logical 5 and logical 30-33 - 110-113 never activates.
It appears that the pov hat buttons do not respect the SHIFT1 status.
I am using VKBDevCfg 0.93.89 and Gladiator NXT firmware "_Gladiator_NXT_v2_20_C.vkb"

Re: POV buttons not working with SHIFT1
Thanks! I didn't even realize there was a separate firmware/software site
Re: POV buttons not working with SHIFT1
Which firmware/config version are you using? I'm getting "err-stat active" messages with the latest of both
Re: POV buttons not working with SHIFT1
Found a working combo: firmware v2_22_5(3) and VKBDevCfg-C_v0.94_05 - thanks again!

Re: POV buttons not working with SHIFT1
The top line, in parentheses, shows the recommended firmware version for the current version of the configurator. Newer versions can be used, but earlier versions cannot.
Err-Stat Active - error statistics are only enabled; this is the default behavior of the configurator.
