I am just trying to get the virtual toe brakes to work with the T-Rudders.
The T-link program (both 0.7.5 and 0.7.8 versions) recognizes the STECS #12 button as in input and says that the rudders are connected, but the virtual left and right rudders do not show up in any program. The newest T-link v0.7.8 does not have the aux window to observe the rudder affects, the v0.7.5 version does not show any rudder affects in the aux window, and DCS does not recognize any new axes to assign to the R/L brakes.
The post pinned to to the top of the Manual and Howtos, "Using VKB-Link/Z-Link to mimic the T-Link virtual brake behavior" gives all the steps I have been following and suggests that the process is is an alternative to T-Link when it was not working.
What is the better way to proceed? Is there a way to use VKB-link to achieve or is there a way to test/fix the T-Link? I am fine with using T-Link but I thought this was the recommended alternative. I am using firmware 2.19.B if that is an issue.
I am sorry this has not been a quick issue to resolve but I really appreciate you sharing your expertise. What ever the solution is, I think we should add it to the pinned post for others to follow...

Here, all need to do was attach the brake axes to their direct binds ID(6
.
Here's an example using 4-th axis.
The 4th axis (Dial) is shown as a general one for clarity.

Re: Problem setting up virtual brake behavior using VKB-Link
That is so excellent! Thank you so much.
I tried it already, but just o be sure, is it true that the "Virtual US over USB" does not have to be checked and none of the registers had to be activated? I think the real solution was to indicate the rudder axis in the first virtual axis.
If that is true, would you mind if I put a comment in the pinned post to that effect?
Thank you again, and again.

Re: Problem setting up virtual brake behavior using VKB-Link
A little follow up. Depending on the simulator and the aircraft, you may need to reverse the output of the axis. For example, in the DCS F-86F if the new axes are not reversed then the brakes are active all the time until the button is held down. Reversing the axes makes the bakes active only while the button is held down. It works better to set the inverse in VKBDevCfg than in DCS.
