Temporary buttons off the mini stick?

The Youtube video about how to take advantage of the mini stick shows how you could make it act like a POV only while pressing the button. The video also tells us how to set up buttons. Is there a way to have it act primarily as a POV but activate buttons only when pressed? Can it be setup to have 8 buttons instead of the 4 as in the video?

My thought is to use the POV to look around in DCS, but then hold the button and activate a snap view, then when released it would go back to a POV.

Thank you, but this doesn't do what I want. This changes the POV to 4 buttons. I've been reading the manual and I don't think I can do what I want... I want the ministick to act as a POV upon start up and when pressed in trigger buttons, but only when pressed in. Based on the video I can press the stick and it goes to a second POV that can trigger buttons. I haven't figured out if it can have 8 buttons. I don't think it can be a temporary (while the button is pushed) action though.

The mini-stick is setup to be POV upon start up, and with a click of the stick the x/y axes become active.

In the first example from the video, the mini stick is setup for mini-stick as default and activating buttons only while the stick is pressed down.

I want something similar -- I want the POV to be default and to be able to activate 4 (or buttons only while the stick is pressed down.

The video has a later example where POV is default, the stick click activates the mini-stick, and mini stick is dichotomized into 4 discrete button pushes. I want this behavior but only while the stick is pressed down. I don't want to have to click to switch to the mini-stick and click to go back to the POV.

I'm not sure it is possible but I am hung up on it because the video has the example where something happens only while the stick is pressed.

I think my question is misguided... I see now that DCS has "glance" views and static camera views. I should be able to get to where I want to go using a different path. Thanks for trying to help me anyway!
