I'm glad the wait is nearly over :D
Still, I'm not sure how I am going to use it... like Stonehenge mention it earlier...
Should we put the throttle on the Y axis or the twist axis ?
We'll have to try it for real I guess!

Can we remove the spring that maintain the grip centered on the axis we put the throttle (whatever that axis is, Y or twist) ?
Is it desirable, or even doable ?

I agree, the OTA is something like you need to have around even if you don't need it right away, like a screwdriver
You can remove the spring on any axes, but the grip will just slide around, won't hold its position without a damper mechanism present, like on the GunFighter base.

In this case it would probably make more sense for me to take the Gunfighter Base. Then there is the question of whether there will also be a set. The NXT Omni is already listed on the EU side

If you are removing the spring in order to stop the throttle from returning to center and thus resetting to a zero position, consider using it as a relative axis. Pushing forward increases throttle. Pulling back decreases throttle. Leaving in the center deadzone results in no changes.

You can even set it up so that one of the buttons on a GNX base switches the modes for you. See: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=6070

I recently purchased a Gladiator NXT Space Combat Left Premium. I would like to purchase a Gladiator NXT Right Premium with OTA, and then put the OTA adapter on my left premium.

https://vkbcontrollers.com/?product=scg ... ighter-scg

This lists both left and right modules for Right-Hand Gunfighter to GNX Conversion Kit - does the straight tail/twist adapter have different left/right parts? Basically, if I order a Gladiator NXT Right hand with OTA, can I put the OTA adapter on my left hand Gladiator, and put the straight tail/twist FROM my left Gladiator onto the new right hand one? Or do I have to order an additional right-hand tail/twist adapter?

Also, I currently have my left hand Gladiator Premium on a J-Pein mount off amazon. If I order a SEM module and attach it to my Gladiator NXT Left, do I need some sort of reinforcement for it? I do not own a UCM Stronghold.

Both the NXT's straight tail/twist module and OTA have different versions for right and left grips. To get where you want you'll need a left hand GXT OTA and a right hand Gladiator NXT.
Best thing for a SEM attached to a Gladiator NXT would be to sit on a desk or have a plate under both devices if they're on a mount. But you could run them both together with a plate only under the Gladiator, considering you won't start slamming on it. You could also reinforce it with one of these plates, for left or right side, depending which side of the Gladiator you want to attach the SEM.

Thanks for the reply, I thought the twist adapter might be the same because the image doesn't change when you switch left/right products on the website, good thing I asked!

$142 usd. Plus $55usd shipping and tax for a gnx plus straight adapter versus $188 usd for a premium right nxt. I actually thought it would be cheaper to use my existing spare grip. Guess the jokes on me.

Australian distributor. I did convert price from aud to usd using Google.
Actual price was $132aud for the base and $66aud for the grip converter.

Hello

wath do you think about this mod :
https://www.reddit.com/r/hotas/comments/n19mty/3d_printed_vkb_nxt_y_axis_center_detent_clutch/

Do you think this is dangerous for a gnx mecanism (omnithrottle or classic) ?

Is this something your you are working on ?

It's a mod made by a 3rd party; it looks really good, but it's been made most probably without any technical data or extensive testing. It could work great or it might break or fatigue some components. Hard to tell by just looking at it :(
