Re: VKB TECS: MODULARITY FULL AHEAD
Still happily waiting for the MIGHTY MIGHTY VKB to release that throttle!
Haters gonna hate, but THIS GUY will happily wait for what VKB puts out!
My stick and pedals remind me SO MUCH of the gear I had my hands on in the military, top notch!
Good things, come to those who wait!

I mean, we have no choice but to wait!
Still looks like the best throttle for my purposes. Having the analogue stick on the index finger for thrusting in Elite will be awesome.

Re: VKB TECS: MODULARITY FULL AHEAD
We just don't know. From the pictures it's impossible to tell.
Given VKB's love of modularity it's possible it could be both or rather, modular and swappable. They got enough mixed messages when they asked a couple of years back that it would be a sensible solution to the competing demands of DCS (especially A10/F16 loving) pilots and space-sim pilots.
Or maybe for the first versions of the throttle grip (mainly aimed at combat flight sim pilots) it will be under the index finger and then the version of the grip that comes for space sim pilots will have it under the thumb.
We'll find out when VKB chooses to let us know, probably on release.

Re: VKB TECS: MODULARITY FULL AHEAD
Do we know whether the base dimensions for the TECS will fit an existing pattern like the Warthog? I'm hoping to build my ultimate cockpit setup, and am holding off until I can do it all at once. I imagine I can rig up something with my X52 throttle in the interim, but don't really want to go back to the drawing board with the mounting plate.
This also seems like a great compliment to the upcoming Top Gun module for MSFS. That seems like a nifty way to fly a fighter in such a nice world. DCS doesn't compete there, I'm afraid.

No measurements at this time, but most probably it won't be the same pattern as Wathog's.

Yeah, IMO thumbsticks/ministicks are for thumbs. Thumbs are just much more dexterous than fingers. Of course, modular is the best option.

Thanks! Looking forward to it!
Re: VKB TECS: MODULARITY FULL AHEAD
Is there any estimated time for launch?
Just bought both the rudder pedals and gladiator nxt(loving both!) was hoping to get the throttle from the same company!
My other option is sucumb to either Virpil or TMW
Thanks!

Re: VKB TECS: MODULARITY FULL AHEAD
Do you have any information for the FSM-DIY release.
Looks so shiny.
Re: VKB TECS: MODULARITY FULL AHEAD
How will these modules connect vkb sticks that aren't the gnx. For example I have the mcg ultimate and rudder pedals. Will I be able to connect this to my black box or will I need to use a other USB port solely for the SEM or THQ?

Re: VKB TECS: MODULARITY FULL AHEAD
In this case you'll have to connect them to the computer through the USB port.
It will come out together with his siblings, SEM and THQ, in a couple of months.

Will all the versions on the FSM be launching at the same time or just the GA and DIY
