I don't know if there's more in the Russian forums (I can't read Russian), so I was asking because the OP only mentioned that there would be stops for Idle, Afterburner, and Afterburner max. Usually, if a product description doesn't say that something is completely customizable, it's because it's not. So my expectation is that unless stated otherwise by VKB, there will be some kind of machined bump at the one end of the throttle movement mechanism for the idle stop, and two similar ones near the other end for AB and AB max, and no other stops. Mind you, I'm only asking if there's a detent (ie just a small bump so you can tell by feel that you've reached the middle of the throttle's range), not a full stop with a lever that you have to pull to get over.

You know, I think I stand corrected. Now that I read it really carefully....it says friction is adjustable per handle. And stops can be deactivated. But maybe I'm reading too much into thinking that the certain points of the movement range are themselves adustable in position along that range.

I guess we'll have to wait a little longer and see.

Hi. Here's my $0.02

The biggest thing I would change is how the front panel attaches to the main throttle body.

https://s26.postimg.org/c6cr0jj9j/MECS_v01_02.jpg?dl=1

The way you have it, there are two screws ( each side) and then there is a 'foot' part of the upper panel that rests on the surface of the desk or whatever you are using the throttle on.

If I could make a suggestion it would be this.

Like many people I suspect, I have a 'cockpit' in the style of metal tubes i.e Obutto. And like most of those owners I have the side plate for the Thrustmaster Warthog.

If I were to try and use your new throttle in it's place, those 'feet' would have nothing to rest on and the upper panel would at least be very insecure and at worst fall forwards (or backwards).

However, if you extended the sides of it, and had 5 screws each side going into the body of the main throttle, it would remove the need for the 'feet' and allow it to be mounted on every soft of 'cockpit' rather that just on a desk.

Please would you consider this. If my suggestion is not clear, I could 'draw' it for you. Please let me know, but I'm sure you understand what I mean.

At anyone here working for or selling VKB, someone just told me that the "Vintage" was only a concept and wasn't going to be made, any comments on that?

Yeah the WWll model will sell well with Battle Of Stalingrad fan base.
Myself included.

8)
There is no such word as "never".
Some day anything can happen.
For now and for foreseeable future, this Vintage model is a concept.
As a concept, it might some time be developed into a serial model. Or, not be developed. Or, be replaced with another concept. Or, be edited beyond recognition.
At the moment the only thing it is is a concept.
One of several.
Someone asked us whether we had ever thought of making a throttle control system for piston planes.
This picture is a good illustration to the answer, which is yes, we had.
And we still do.
So, maybe - some day.
We keep thinking about piston aviation, and more control systems for the planes of that era.
Something will come their way.
Sooner or later.
--- --- ---
Some Further Explanation
What you see in the picture is no more than outer shell.
There might be nothing inside, under these metallic texture, just empty space.
Or, there might be a well thought over set of internals.
In this particular case it is the latter. This concept may already be moved up to production department.
Which, of course, does not mean its immediate serial manufacture.
It only means the beginning of another many month long period of working on this project before the first samples start showing up.
When we finally get to the point of making a throttle control unit for piston planes, this concept will be on the shortlist, together with a few others.
However, when it will happen, we don't know.
Or, don't say 8)

Piston planes are fine, but that would fit my Drake Cutlass in Star Citizen perfectly :D

The TECS throttle looks awesome. Is there a chance to find out, which dimensions this throttle will have ? Just asking, cause Im working right now on a mount for my gladiator and would love to start working on the mount for my "upcoming" throttle :D

It's great to know you are making your own mount; in case you opt to drop it at some point (no! I don't wish so, just telling) we will come with a pretty interesting mounting solution within a few months. Anyway, regarding the dimensions:
outer 240x150
mounting 258x110
4 holes Ф 6

VKB communicates on several different forums and sometimes the newest info or concept info isn't here or doesn't make it here. I'm following /r/HOTAS and they seem to find it all.

Is this correct as one if the mounting point dimensions is larger than the outer body?

And if you look carefully at the picture on the first page?

Yes I was thinking the base plate was part of the body and not removable. My bad. :)
