No, the extension is part of Pro package.

Best regards,
Eduard

that part had me a bit confused...
i will be able to operate the gunfighter pro without the extension as well, will i not?
it just means that the extension is included by default, if you buy the "pro" package, right?

What you do with that extension is totally up to you. You can connect it, or leave it off. But it's surely nice to have.
For me, I ordered the VKB Mamba's equivalent of the Gunfighter Pro package, and I use the extension 99% of the time. However, when I want to mount my Mamba as a side stick, I just take the extension off.

To further clarifty, is the difference between PRO and non PRO just the extension? Nothing diffwerent in internals etc?

Correct. usually, with the extension comes the smaller base plate, and an additional set of stiffer springs. The internals are the same.

Hey rrohde, Just a question regarding the decision to sell the extension as part of a package and not as an option to the base. I mean we have an option to buy it with the large base plate or the small one (or both), and the option to buy an adapter as an option, or in place of a stick. Wouldn't it be easier just to sell the base gimbal for one price and have everything else as an option?

I guess it comes down to VKB HQ logistics when it comes to packaging, shipping and handling parts and devices across the world. I can ask what options there are, but this is totally up to VKB HQ. :)

well, the throttle of this one seems only have 1 grip, so it's another wwii plane controller, sigh.

that's why they only post news on IL-2 forums, not on DCS forums.

There's also a modern-style throttle in the works, but not details available (to me) yet. So, VKB is busy working on different projects for different simulation communities. :)

I have some access to vkb development, and remember that VKB is a entire modular solution not just a stick.

Different grips from VKB in the works, adapter for other grips available. ECP will be a control base where you can plug your gunfighter base, the ww2 throttle has so many things that will blow your mind.

From Mechanical upgrades to sticks changes, VKB offer a scalable system that allow you to build your simulator according to your needs.

thx rrohde for clarifying :!:

another question: will grip adaptors (for tm warthog) be available with gunfighter from the start, or are we going to have to wait a bit for those?

According to VKB HQ, they should be available at the same time for the Gunfighter release.

Hello

About these "force-adjustable dry clutches"
looks to be metal against metal friction, will that produce filing or soot buildup over time ?
Is there information over what materials these parts are made of ?

Also, not sure if this is the right thread to ask these questions. Go ahead move this post if there's a better place.

Thanks, best of luck

So far, no further information has been made available to that effect. However, VKB HQ mentioned that some basic maintenance might be required, which includes lubrication.

I hope to have some more information available soon.

EDIT: Got some feedback from VKB HQ:

- Materials used in dry clutches: brass and stainless steel
- Some grease is included

Thanks.
