Re: Guides
When I follow these instructions I am able to get the THQ working correctly, but I lose all functionality of the small POV stick. Can you confirm the settings that are needed for it to work? I just need it to be a simple (Up,Down,Left,Right) or to function as the four buttons that used to activate. I can press for button13, but that is all.
Re: Guides
What I am trying to do is a little different than the initial scenario. The main thing is I have an NXT Evo and do not need to have the stick twist, so I would like to disable that, and still retain the full POV/HAT toggle functions.
I can't seem to get a grasp on what exactly it takes to disable an input axis and shift a lever from the THQ to the open slot.
At this point I am able to disable the twist, labelled as Rot Z. But the third lever on the THQ is not assigning to the open slot, and Rot Z is no longer showing up in the Test/Axes screen.
On the Global/External screen I have the third level set to 1-3, which I assume would put it in the open slot, but it appears to not work that way. With this setting the third lever is also not sharing an assignment with another input that I can see in testing.

Re: Guides
Need a profile, a file with the extension *.cfg, which is usually saved in the configurator folder.
Once you upload your profile, you'll immediately see where there are still errors.
I can see them in the screenshots, but you need to look in other tabs as well.

Re: Guides
Where should I upload the .cfg file to? It doesn't let me attach that file type in the thread.
This is getting to be pretty frustrating. Deciphering software like this is not something an end user should be expected to do. I know some people like messing with the fiddly bits. I am not one of them. I want to be able to deselect an axis to get down to 8 and the software should be able to take care of the rest. Absolutely NONE of this is self explanatory.

Re: Guides
You can seem them in the screenshots but haven't said what the issue is. Can you please plainly state what I need to do? I have wasted enough time on this already. Your joysticks are fine. The software is the reason people choose Virpil instead.

Re: Guides
The twist axis is not disabled, so it intersects with the THQ axis.
The screenshots show incorrect values in red, they need to be replaced with green ones, written to the controller using the Set button and calibrate the 3rd axis. It may only work from the center, then you need to check the ACn box and set it to the center before calibration. All three THQ axes should have the same settings, and approximately the numbers in the KdHi and KdLo columns after calibration.

Thank you. This is the finished .cfg file if it helps anyone else in the future.
