Gladiator NXT Premium – Y-axis issue (backlash when holding back)

Hello everyone,
I'm hoping for some advice on a persistent issue with my VKB Gladiator NXT Premium (non EVO), which I've had for about 6 years.
The problem is quite specific: when I pull the stick back (towards me) and hold it there for a few seconds, the Y-axis becomes imprecise and "mushy." Quick movements in any direction are fine. To reset it, I just push the stick forward (towards the screen), and I feel a slight "step" as it returns to normal.
I've already opened a ticket with VKB support, but I'm sharing this here in case someone has seen this before. Here's a video showing the exact behavior: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/vUz4XUTsgmA
I've already tried the usual recalibration and checked the basics. Based on my research, it seems similar to the known "loose magnet" issue, but I wanted to ask for community opinions before I start tinkering.
The stick is out of warranty, but I'd like to repair it if possible. Any suggestions on what to look for or how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
