Help with twist on Gunfighter MCE ultimate

Hello,

I just received the Gunfighter IV MCE ultimate with twist adapter. My question is if in order to activate the z axis and get rudder movement I do need to open the grip?

If the answer is no, how do I configure the system?

Just reset to default and calibrate, like shown here (from timestamp).
