Unexpected SEM-V Gear Lever Behavio

I have an issue with my SEM-V gear lever switch.

Here is how it behaves:
(Position = Button#)
Down = 22
Middle = 24 (but 23 blinks)
Up = 24
Middle (from Up pos) = 24 (no 23 blink)
Between Down and Middle = 23

Here's how it SHOULD behave:
Down = 22
Middle = 23
Up = 24

I have defaulted the device and switched between 3-detent and 2-detent modes multiple times. I tried to make that clear to support but when I opened a ticket I was just told to switch to 3-detent mode (not sure if they understand my issue).
Please help.
