Using VKB SEM Flaps leaver in War Thunder

Hi all,
I'm trying to set-up my controls for war thunder. I recently bought a NXT EVO Stick and added the SEM module to the side
At this point I've just started looking around the config app but there is a lot to take in for someone new
Anyway, what I would like to do is set-up the flap lever to change the flap position in war thunder. In the games key binds you can either toggle the flaps or set the flaps up or down by pressing the buttons multiple times - e.g. "[" pressed once sets the flaps from the raised to combat position and "[" pressed again moves it further down to take off position.
So the best way I can think of possibly making this work is instead of each lever position corresponding to a momentary button (at the moment this is buttons 58, 59. 60 and 61) I'd like the software to just trigger another set of unused or virtual momentary buttons based of whether the leaver was pull back a position or pushed forward. For example, if the leaver was in position 61 and moved to position 60 it would trigger a virtual momentary button such as button 65.
Logic would look kind of like this
61 to 60 = Button 65 to be pressed
60 to 59 = Button 65 to be pressed
59 to 58 = Button 65 to be pressed
58 to 59 = Button 66 to be pressed
59 to 60 = Button 66 to be pressed
60 to 61 = Button 66 to be pressed
Not sure if this is doable but help and ideas would be much apricated
