Joystick not responding properly

Hello everyone,
I need help sorting out my VKB gladiator EVO NXT, left hand, for Star Citizen.
I want to set it up as a throttle, and it used to work but for some reasons now it stopped.
The way it used to work was: center no speed change, move forward, speed increase, the further the faster, move backward decrease speed until 0 then swap to backward.
I would like to have it working similar but maybe just reduce speed to 0 and stop there instead of switching to negative once it reaches 0.
I have it centered and the springs are the default ones.

Try to program the main axes as relative, see if that helps. Or fly decoupled, sounds exactly like it.
