Hello and happy new year.
I have changed my yoke/grip from left to right grip. When I connect my system it cannot find the grip. Then I do a default setup in "VKBDevCfg-C_VER_0_93_17.exe" and then the grip comes back, but now all my bindings have disappeared?!? Then I load the binding profile I have saved and then my bindings work again, but the grip has disappeared. I have spent a long time configuring my key bindings for the Msfs2020 PMDG B777 profile, so is it right that I have to start over? What do I do here. Thanks in advance.
Change grip problems.

Re: Change grip problems.
The grips have different addresses, so when changing and loading an old profile, you need to manually set the correct one.
And then check the connection in the Test-External Devices tab.
I think it's clear from the pictures.

They also have different product IDs and names, so in-game bindings may either need to be converted or redone depending on the game. The typical use case for having both a left grip and a right grip is to use them both for 6DoF flying (e.g. in space combat, hence the name of the grip), not to alternate between the two in the same plane.
I think there are workarounds to get your right stick to look like a left stick to MSFS, but I would prefer to zest them out before writing down instructions. Do you have a Gladiator NXT or a Gunfighter stick?

Unfortunately the software outsmarted me. I can either get it to identify as a left stick and show bus errors, or get it to appear as right stick, or neither left nor right, and come up clean. Unfortunately, the latter will not help you get your left stick bindings back.
And to add insult to injury, MSFS2020 stores control bindings in a binary file that is not straightforward to convert. Especially infuriating since the default bindings are plain-text XML files.
Edit: Never mind, I was wrong. They are just stored alongside a settings file that is.
The one upside is that you know what your in-game bindings are supposed to look like now, so if you write that down, mapping it again will go faster than before.
Also good practice for when you upgrade to MSFS2024, that cannot read MSFS2020 binding files either.
To edit your settings file, go to %localappdata%\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\SystemAppData\wgs\ . Each of those folders contains a file. Find the one that contains your left grip profile, find the one that contains your right grip profile, and you should be able to copy/paste your bindings over.

Hi again.
Then I had time to try it out. And thank you very much @Delta, now I managed to "Copy/Paste" my profile settings as you suggested. That was a really big help. Now it's just a matter of remembering to backup my settings. :-/
Kind regards
