STECS Mode Button Configuration for different Game Profiles

Apologies if this was covered before.

Can the mode buttons on STECS be used to configure different setups? If so, could you point me to a guide? I have been searching for a while and can't seem to find anything.

For more options, you can use the Shift (chapter 4.3.8.) or Modal Switch (chapter 7.16) functions of the manual. Or are they not suitable?

Do you mean profiles swapping "on the fly"?
