Stecs trigger not working

Postby Lunkas971 » Fri Oct 18, 2024 20:19

So I have a STECS standard, and I love it, it's done me no wrong so far. However yesterday I noticed that the Right rear throttle trigger doesn't seem to work anymore, I push it and it does not click or register input. I think if I can look at it I may be able to fix it, but I just wanted to know if anyone has had the same issue or if the throttle cover is easy to open and put back together. Thanks for any help!

You can open it up and check. If unsure post some pics, but most probably the spring is out of place.

I'll do you one better, I made a video to show whats up. The issue seems to be that the button doesn't fully reset as is, if I remove the spring it will return under the power of the button itself but in turn it's extremely sensitive, and in DCS if I touch it even a little it will return the throttle to cutoff, not ideal. If I add pressure and slightly pull to the right of the peg the trigger and spring sit on it resets. So I don't know if it's the plastic has started to deform and is causing it to rest on the button a little too much, but honestly at this point I've kinda given up. At the same time I'm thinking the spring might be poking out just a little further and pressing the button lever as well. I'm not sure, let me know if the placement looks normal, but again I'm okay with it not being used, I'll just use another button as I'm not a vr player. Just sucks you know, lol. Thanks a million for looking.

Try to bend the metal lever slightly.
