Since I'm still getting some phantom button presses while gaming (happens rarely, but it is annoying in a dogfight), I'm starting to think I might have to do this. Before I do however, I want to make sure I have all the parts here that I need.
A VKB rep sent me a replacement pad last year because he thought my pad looked a bit too pitted/beat up, here's what he sent me:
It didn't come with a connector/plug, so I asked VKB to send me one of those when I ordered my MCGU a few days ago. They sent two examples of this plug:
Now folks on discord have said that there are two types of plugs that can be used for the pad's wires, but that you also need the correct wires/crimp pins for the plug you want to use.
My question is: Will that pad's wires fit the plug I've shown in the pic?
I haven't checked my side-PCB yet, so I don't even know if that plug will fit my PCB - the plugs I've seen in how-to videos on swapping pads were of a different kind and looked a bit bigger than the one I was sent.
Thanks for the help!
EDIT: NVM... I just checked my gimbal's side-PCB and the plug VKB sent me won't fit that one. Guess I'll have to re-use the existing connector.
