Issue while ket binding.

Hello, I am new to VKB software and having an issue with binding keys. I am trying to bind only 1 key from my keyboard, to my NXT Glads (left stick) However, every time I do so, it wipes out the other controls while in game. I did the normal stuff of calibration and flashing the newest firmware, which ran fine. It is just when I am "Setting" the one keybind to my left stick. Thoughts?
