anyone had an issue where no buttons, hats or twist work? the vkbdev app recognises it, comms are green, but the only thing that registers is the x and y axis

Release the fastener, make sure the grip went all the way in on the base, then retighten the fastener. Afterwards, run VKBdevCfg, click Default button under the Tools tab, click Yes to the following popup asking to configure, then calibrate.

thanks for the reply, have tried reconnectiong the grip multiple times, and have tried multiple flashes and calibrations

Flashing doesn't help, resetting to default and initializing do, as explained above. If it's still not working please fill up a service ticket.
