Can't rebind axis

This is probably a really dumb question, but I've been searching the internet for the past 3 days since I've gotten my omni throttle and I can not find a tutorial or instructions anywhere. I plan on playing hosam for Star Citizen, and I am trying to rebind the y axis on my omni throttle to make my ship move forward and backwards. This is my very first joystick, so I am completely lost. I was able to figure out how to remap the buttons on my stick to keyboard bindings, but I can not figure out how to rebind any of the axis. It's like a completely foreign language to me. Any help would be appreciated. Even just a link to a video telling me what to do. Thank you.

Just go in game's setting, find the strafe fwd/bkwd control and assign the pitch axis to that.

Yep. I am actually dumb. I was changing my key bindings in the game settings for mouse and keyboard still, and not for joystick. I got it now. Thank you. That is embarrassing .
