STECS Throttle Thumb Knob

Postby bigity » Mon Oct 30, 2023 20:29

Is it possible (and how would I do it) to set this control up so the 'front' half of the range is a normal axis, but rotating to the 'back' half of the axis instead throws a button press?

I want to use this axis to control Zoom in DCS, but instead of the back part being 'zoom out' I would like to have it send a button press I can make to 'zoom normal' instead.

I got it to give me 2 axes, but while one traveled only during half of the knob range as I wanted, the new axis moved for the entire length, not just half.

EDIT: Disregard, on the linked image the logical is on bottom not the top (like it is in my software).

Thanks!

Now I'm having issues getting the Axis2Buttons part to work.

I gave up on splitting the axis, and just set it up as Axis2Buttons with 3 zones. Zone 1 I'll map to zoom normal, Zone 2 I will ignore, and Zone 3 to zoom in slow.

This gets what I want with less changes in VKB I think.

Thanks though!
