That's great to hear. I don't think the cable is the issue though, because if it works with a single module it should work with many too. But, nevertheless, congrats.

Re: BRICKED - GNX Dual THQ + SEM-V Combo
Thanks, Fallout. Perhaps you are right, but I suspect the cable was still bad based on some issues I was having that went away with a new one. However, the story isn't over...unfortunately.
So I'm mostly back in operation as you can see from the previous message. However, the one thing lingering is, upon rebooting Windows, or if it goes to sleep mode, the THQ + SEM combo will not show up - no LED's, like it isn't even there.
I have to unplug it from it's current port, and try various USB ports until one finally connects. I have set the subaddress with the jumpers BTW.
Is this an issue with the firmware?

Re: BRICKED - GNX Dual THQ + SEM-V Combo
BRICKED AGAIN
No change to anything on my PC today. Device just stopped showing up when I started up my PC and I can't get it to come back by switching to different USB ports now. Have rebooted multiple times with it plugged and unplugged. No difference.
Light flickers for split second when plugging in to some ports.
Tried laptop - no dice. Won't power up at all now. 3 different USB ports on there, 5 on my desktop.
Tried unplugging the WWII throttle and plugging in. No dice.
Unplugged the control board from the THQ, plugged into PC, powered right up.
Any help here? Getting to the end of my rope with this nonsense

Re: BRICKED - GNX Dual THQ + SEM-V Combo
In trying to resolve this, I put it back on vkbdevcfg and hit default with the board out of the device. It changed the name to - 'VKBSim NXT XT2 v2.165'.
No axes show up. Put the combo back together and no luck. I do have it back to showing up on the machine, but now I can't get the combo recognized after default/config.
@fallout - you were right about the cable. It's fine. Once I stripped the board back out, and plugged in solo, the cable has reliable worked.
Some other ghost resides in the machine.

Re: BRICKED - GNX Dual THQ + SEM-V Combo
Can you take and upload 2 pics of the GNX HID Controller, one for each side?
It could be that or it could also be a power issue maybe, is your PSU good?

Re: BRICKED - GNX Dual THQ + SEM-V Combo
@fallout
Thanks. I can upload those later today. Absolutely. My PC PSU? More than fine. Run plenty of stuff with no issue, including VR.
Dead Walking and I worked on this last night with little headway, but here's an update. Apologies I didn't post sooner, it was late and I was another 5 hours into this project and fed up. (1 hour of usage and 30 hours of troubleshooting since brand new)
I was able to RESET the master THQ with the WWII Throttle installed, using ZBootloader2 as a solo unit (no slave THQ, or SEM attached). This got the name of the device back to normal, and I was again able to run default, config, calibrate in VKBDevCfg. However...
As soon as I attempt to plug in the slave THQ, w/ SEM or no SEM, the device will not power up. The LED flickers for a split second plugging it in to the PC, but will not boot up. Unplug, and the master THQ unit powers up with no issue.
I'll send the pics as soon as I can.

Re: BRICKED - GNX Dual THQ + SEM-V Combo
Some newer GNX-HID boards have a capacitor (dark can-shaped component) fitted between the + and - pins of the PRG header. That part would be found on the side that is currently facing inside the module, but judging from the pads it does not look like your GNX-HID board has one.

I don't see it either, @Delta. There is a black rectangular brick with 4 pin holes in that position instead.

This picture was taken by another user, it compares a newer HID board against an older model.

Let's try an updated version, please fill up a service ticket on the NA website and post a link to this thread. They'll send you a new board; please update the thread with the results.

Done. Thanks, Fallout.
