I just got a Gunfighter IV with a 200mm extension. I love it, so I want to thank VKB so much!
I'm currently looking for a custom way to mount it, and I think I have it figured out. But it would involve putting the base (or piece that the base is mounted to) on a hinge so that the stick would lay horizontally (to fit under my tv/monitor).
Would keeping the stick horizontal lead to issues with the sensors or mechanics? Currently, the dampeners are tight enough so the stick doesn't really move when I hold it horizontal. But I don't want to overstress them (or the springs if it makes a difference).
Thank you!
Would keeping Gunfighter IV horizontal when not in use cause problems?

Re: Would keeping Gunfighter IV horizontal when not in use cause problems?
If you would lay it on a table or at least provide 2 resting points - one at the base, another one higher that the upper half it should be fine. But leaving it hanging horizontally with only the base attached is not recommended, it would put too much strain on the springs and ball bearings inside. If it'd be just the grip it'd be fine, but the extension adds a lot of weight.
