VKB-SIM

Hi,

I'm interested in the VKB NXT joystick for robot teleoperation, but the operators will often be novices, high school kids or younger. Does the joystick function without the electrical connection to the grip? We would fabricate our own stick without any buttons.

Sure, you could use the base without the grip. All the 3 buttons, encoder, switch and minithrottle on the base will work. Also, the pitch and roll axes will work if you'll use a lever as a grip.
