I recently purchased a used Gunfighter Mk. III with 200mm s-shaped extension and a first-gen KG grip. Out of the box, there was noticeable play along the x-axis, roughly 7mm to the left and 5mm to the right. Both directions of the y-axis (up/down) are perfect with no slop in the controls. The stick recenters perfectly as well. I changed from the Avia S cams with 20# springs that were in it when I received the package, to Avia H cams with 20# and 50# springs, and the issue persists. I have tried increasing and decreasing the clutch friction in both axes with no change. Both the grip and the extension are firmly attached. My guess is that the problem is in the gimbal itself, but due to the design, it's difficult to track down precisely where the problem is. Any tips? And thanks in advance.
PS: Outside of the x-axis play, the Gunfighter is an excellent piece of kit. It's so good it feels like cheating, and I upgraded from a Gladiator NXT Evo, which was a massive upgrade over the TM.16000M.

Re: Play in X-axis
It was mechanical only. I had tightened the connection from the extension to the gimbal until it was snug, but about half a turn more solved the problem and completely removed the x-axis play. Chalk it up to being overly cautious about stripping hex head screws!
