I just got my Gladiator NXT EVO and I hooked it up.

Out of the box I started my game Elite Dangerous and could bind the necessary buttons and axis in the menu and it worked fine. Then I wanted to assign buttons to keyboard entries, so I followed the instructional video "Software tutorials - How to map joystick buttons". I was successful at mapping a button, but then found out that my axis is no longer working.

I narrowed it down to the keyboard option

What am I doing wrong?

What axis does not work?

None of the axis were working. It didn't make sense.

At some point I uninstalled the mouse. That resolved it. Afterwards I reinstalled the mouse software and it is still working. I guess the HID assignment was mixed up, making for this weird error.
It was a frustrating start, but I am happy I got it working now.

Now I will need to learn this Configuration Software more. It is a bit intimidating at first
