I just got my MCG Ultimate with twist in combination with my old Gladiator Pro Mk2, but stick is not recognized by software, and the red light blinks on Gladiator base. When i try to calibrate the white light on the stick flash once then no light at all. I had no problem setting up my old MCG twist stick.

What software package do i use for this combination?

The same. Up to date. What SW/FW versions do you use? Please show Global - External tab and Test - External devices.

I used the links on the website. I deleted everything and started from scratch. now it says i use a very old version and need to update the firmware (software link from website) im confused about what software i need to use now..

Do this:

- download VKBDevCfg, zBootloader and the latest firmware package;
- unzip them in the same dedicated folder;
- close VKBDevCfg and run zBootloader as Admin;
- select your device on the bottom side of the window and click <Start Boot> button;
- when the device restarts in bootloading mode select it again, then press the <...> buton;
- navigate through the firmware folder to <Gladiator_series> folder and chose the file labeled <_Gladiator-K_MCG_Pro_v2_12_2.vkb>;
- after loading the file click the <Flash It!> button;
- when the flashing is over the zBootloader will close automatically;
- run VKBDevCfg as Admin, select this device at the top, then press the Default button under the Tools tab;
- after another restart calibrate it like here.

OK.. i got my old MCG stick on the base and followed the procedure and everything worked fine exept now the twist not working!?

Got the MCG Ultimate on the base and did it all over again and no connection to grib at all (red light flashing on base) only X Y axis on gladiator pro base works. When i connect the base to pc usb port, or right after calibration the white light on MCG stick flash once but no connection. Also cleaned connection surface on stick.

Uploaded some pictures of Device Config.

Softvare (vkbdevcfg.exe) Firmware. Grip not connected. Test - External devices. I sugggested it. Check connections.

Victorus my old mcg grib worked fine, and i cleaned connection surfaces on new MCGU but grib is dead.I also pressed down on stick as i tighten the skrew. Could it be some bad connection or loose wire inside the grib or software problem?

When the white light is flashing on the grib there must be some kind of connection to the base.

What contacts do you have on top of the base, 3 pads or 3 pins?

Most likely, it's not about contacts - everything is fine with them. The firmware exists only for the MCG Pro grip (well, a very rare configuration), and both grips are distinguished by their unique bus address (pictured).

Therefore, it is not visible to the controller. But this is easy to fix if you select the correct MCGU grip in the drop-down list of devices and write it to the controller with the Set button. Then the connection will be restored and everything will work.

Thanks alot Ron61 it works fine now, but the RotZ axis is not responding at all. I recalibrated stick but no Twist.

My old MCG with twist also not working. I deleted everything and started all over so there must be something changed/reset in the Global-External or Profile-Axes setup right?

If there are no connected pedals on the D-Mars sensor on the 7th axis, then we can declare the twist axis there. We make changes, calibrate - it should work.

But there is a little misalignment on RotZ only when i turn left and back to center when i turn right and back to center it is pefectly in center.

The mechanical stop works fine so can it be something loose inside the grip like the magnet?

Show the Profile-Axes tab.
Most likely, you need to increase the bit depth (Precis) to 11 and the dead zone in the center DzLo=10.
After writing to the controller, calibrate the axis and only then show the tab.

Now everything works!

I changed Dz Lo to 7 and calibrated, this was enough to center Rot Z perfectly.

This is actually one awesome piece of software with a crazy amount of options.
