'Grating'/friction on the roll axis

Hi all,

Just got my GF3 + MFGu today and I'm starting to set it up. I've tightened the dampers to the point where I don't get a lot of oscillation which is great.

However I notice that while the pitch axis is completely smooth and silent, the roll axis isn't the same. There's a very quiet sound as it moves through the centre, and I can feel rubbing/grating/friction through the stick.

Is this normal, due to how the mechanism works, or something I need to look at/adjust?

Check on this guide, especially the part about attaching the cam.

Thanks. So it might not have come properly attached? I've not taken any cams off, and it felt like this before I changed any springs this afternoon.

Hard to tell what's going on there, it could be even the rubber dust cover, or maybe a spring rubbing against the metal.

It feels less noticeable now I'm on stronger springs. I'm now on the #30s and I can feel the friction less. For all I know this is what it *should* feel like....

Two things to check:
1. the cable isn't rubbing inside the base - it moves around more on the X axis
2. the magnet hasn't picked up something like a washer and is rubbing it against the sensor
