VKB Pedals nut and bolt issue.

Postby Space_Finch » Tue Feb 07, 2023 13:45

Hi, Having some slight problems with my pedals the nut and bolt as pictured below keeps working its self loose if I overtighten it then the pedals get really stiff and can get stuck in the down position? anyone have any ideas is there an alterative nut or nut/bolt/washer I can use which wont work its self loose over time. Currency having to rectify this issue every 8-12 hours of play.

Thanks Finch

There's a ball inside that arm which seems stuck in your photos, try to revive it with some fine lubricant.

Judging by the non-perpendicular position of the screw relative to the lever, two options are possible:
1. the screws are bent
2. screws are loose
Pay attention to the location of the washer and spring washer - they should be on the same side, in front of the ball head of the thrust. See picture.
If bent, then you can replace it with M5x20 with any head.

Interesting is there supposed to be another washer on the inside besides the spring washer?
