MCG Ultimate Broken

I received the gunfighter MCG Ultimate on Friday, I had a quick few flights and it worked perfectly. Today was the second time I used it and while taxing I twisted the joystick slightly and the base of the twist mechanism popped out. My first instinct was to put it back in, it went back in with no resistance but the twist didn't centre and the whole mechanism was loose. I contacted VKB support and I am still awaiting a response, I plugged to stick back into the base and tested to see if all the buttons still worked and they didn't. The blackbox flashed red and nothing worked. I took the twist mechanism out, one wire was cut and the other two had been stripped. Not sure what to do at this point as the stick is now just a $500 paper weight. I already let VKB support know, does anyone know if I can still get a replacement or a refund?
