out of box NXT EVO Z-Axis Rotation faulty

Postby Jaggy » Sat Feb 04, 2023 18:30

Hi,
I have an issue with my new Gladiator NXT EVO 'Space Combat Edition' - SCG Premium and it`s Z-Axis rotation.
In Calibration when twisting left it calibrates faulty and twisting right gets no recognition at all.
Twisting left nothing happens until the last 1/8 of the movement. Then shoots left to value 0. Keeping it all left the gauge does not stay at value 0 but jiggles.
Twisting right nothing is happeing at all.
Stick was shipped with v2.118 but flashing to v2.122 did not change anything.
Tried another cable - no change. No USB hub is being used.
Have checked the connector and also reinserted stick into the base - not change
Have attached JoyTester image. Twist left takles about 1,5 seconds but signal only shoots up at the very end. Keeping it locked all -left shows the jittering. Twist to right: dead
All other axis are just fine.

I have opended a ticket but ran into the same registration issues as others before. So didn`t get a ticket number.

Any ideas what to do?

Show the Profile-Axes tab (both) from the configurator.

Have you tried pressing the Default button before calibration? If you did, open up the grip, there are 6 screws securing the 2 shells and check on the position of the magnet under the sensor board - it has to be very close, 1mm or so, but not touching. If not sure, post pics please.

Have set to default numerous times. Sory for not mentioning.

a. I have looked at videos with the magnet. Would this not only explain the jittering but no why it does not recognise any twist to the right?
b. would I not loose my warranty by opeing up the stick?
