Twist not working on new Gun Fighter MK3, Red LED Blinking on Box

Hello. I just plugged in my new Gun Fighter MK3 and attempted to set it up.
The twist axis is not working. The LEDs on the joystick are also not lighting up (well, the one at the base is, but not on the stick), but I am not sure if that is an error.
I went through the calibration procedure, X and Y are working, but the twist axis does not appear to be working.
As far as I can tell, the buttons are not registering any presses either. When I go to the test tab, no joy stick buttons log action, but keyboard presses will log when I switch to that.
Also, the separate control box has a red blinking LED in spot 2, which I am guessing indicates an error of some kind.
Any ideas? What information could I provide that might help diagnose the problem? Thank you for any help.
