VKB Red and Blue fast blinking lights

Postby josephR » Sat Jan 07, 2023 11:38

Hello everyone, my right Gladiator base is flashing red and blue lights very fast, I looked up what it means, and it says "External device connection
to BUS port failure" I'm not sure how i would fix this issue, any help is greatly appreciated thank you.

Press the Default button under the Tools tab, then either click Yes if you'll get a pop up asking you to autoconfigure or click the Find&AutoConfig button on the same panel you're posted. If this doesn't fix the issue try upgrading to the latest firmware, as your current one doesn't quite match the software version you're running. If you need assistance with reflashing let me know please.

Ok I have updated the firmware to V2.122 successfully and tried to recalibrate but the blue and red lights are still flashing rapidly. What would be the next steps?

You have to follow the same steps as in my previous post.

I did every step you sent me, that did not work so I updated the firmware like you asked and that didn't fix my issue either. Sorry I should of included that in my last post.

Something I want to mention is I just clicked on stat in the external devices tab and it says communication error level %100 and its completely red, I'm assuming this is bad and my controller isn't communicating to the base? I went back to retest my controls and there are buttons and my Z rotation is not working. I'm positive I followed the step right so I'm thinking I need to open it up and check connections.

That's right, next step would be to check the connections inside; hopefully the 3 wires cable that connects the grip with the base is not damaged.

I found a couple small breaking in the insulation of one of the cables. Is it possible to order these wires from the store? I didn't see them there.

Try to temporarily fix the wires with electrical tape; meanwhile, fill up a service for a spare cable.
