My Gunfighter currently has the firmware loaded for the MCGU-twist grip. I'm trying to flash a firmware for a different grip (KG12) but the Bootloader throws a "Device signature not correct - flash fail" error. I'm using he latest downloads from the website: firmware pack 2_12_2 (Mk2 since my box is black), ZBootloader 2.01 and DevCFG v 0.92.54.
Some things I tried based on older forum posts:
- Ran the Bootloader as administrator
- Tried using different USB ports
- Tried on a different computer
- Tried flashing other grip firmwares
- Tried both with the blackbox connected to the base and disconnected
- Tried with an older version of the Bootloader (1.97)
but I get the Device signature not correct every time. What else can I try?

Re: Can't flash firmware to Gunfighter (device signature not correct)
Is the Boot Device Ready message showing up in zBootloader before trying to flash?
Re: Can't flash firmware to Gunfighter (device signature not correct)
Before flashing it says "Boot device: detected - OK" at the top and "Found Boot Device : VKB Boot NJoy32 platform" in the list.

I'm still unable to flash any firmware to the Gunfighter - any potential solutions?

Reboot the device and show a screenshot from the configurator. And also show the folder itself, from where the configurator is launched.

Sure, here are screenshots of the software and the folder:

Re: Can't flash firmware to Gunfighter (device signature not correct)
Try to change it using the button on the BB with the cable to the base disconnected.
Run Zbootloader2.exe, and on the BB disconnected from USB, hold down the Sys button and only after that connect the USB cable. After that, you can release the button and the device should appear in the firmware window. Choose any, for example, for pedals, firmware and try to flash it. You can uncheck Auto to take a screenshot of the process after flashing.

Re: Can't flash firmware to Gunfighter (device signature not correct)
As instructed I disconnected the black box from the base, then held down the SYS button while connecting the black box USB to my PC.
The Zbootloader2 window showed "Found Boot Device: VKB Boot NJoy32 platform".
I unchecked "auto" then tried to load the Trudder firmware, and got the same error message as before: Device signature not correct - flash fail

Re: Can't flash firmware to Gunfighter (device signature not correct)
Try the firmware from the last package by downloading the entire package and then unpacking it. Repeat the firmware process.
Re: Can't flash firmware to Gunfighter (device signature not correct)
I downloaded the v2_12_A package (I assume that's the latest, based on the date?) and repeated the process and got same result:
Re: Can't flash firmware to Gunfighter (device signature not correct)
I'm not sure I understand these steps correctly.
Do I just plug in the black box USB, wait 3 seconds, then hold down the SYS button for a while? I tried that and the SYS LED did not change, so I'm not sure it did anything... but I still couldn't flash firmware afterwards

Re: Can't flash firmware to Gunfighter (device signature not correct)
Let's try to solve the problem in a different way.
All manipulations on the firmware remain the same, only now in the line of the selected firmware you need to delete everything and type the word Save.
At the same time, a file with the *.op1 extension will be created in the folder from which the flash driver was launched.
Attach it to the message, perhaps by archiving it. And we will try to solve this problem.

Here's the generated op1 file, archived in a zip.

Re: Can't flash firmware to Gunfighter (device signature not correct)
Place the file (*.op2) from the archive into the folder with the flash driver and repeat the firmware procedure, but now you need to type the word Load. After that, fill in the desired firmware, as usual.
