Problem SEM setting up flaps axis

Postby Jahru » Tue Dec 06, 2022 2:36

Hi,

I bought a SEM module and wanted to set up the flaps slider as an axis. I removed the detents block before attaching it directly to my NXT L. Then I followed the instructions from the video to the letter.
-In setup-mode I set the flaps via A1 an start button as an axis
-Started the config tool and set the NXT/SEM to default
-Autoconfig happened and the SEM was correctly registered
-I used the axes-wizard in global and checked "switch flaps". Here I noticed the first difference to the video: After closing the window, all Axis-fields were still grayed out instead of one Axis-field (be it #1 or #2 etc.) getting highlighted

-I nonetheless performed the "Set" action and in the axis test window the "Slider1" axis appeared, but even after calibration no input is detected

I then tried setting up the flaps as 2 or 3 detents in the setup mode to see, if the flaps are working at all, but all the buttons are used correctly in the test window. It is just the axis mode which is not working.
I have flashed my NXT to the latest v2.122 version

It seems there's a bug in that firmware version. Set up your axes through the Axes Wizard button, then set the AxN to 2 and press Set button. After restart set up Axis#1 to Virtual, 1/7 and Axis#2 to Virtual, 1/8 and press set again.
Calibrate afterwards.
