maximum spring strength supported for Gunfighter mk 2

Postby Bigdumb » Tue Nov 01, 2022 1:21

Sorry if I should have found the answer to this question already on the forums, but I'm still unsure . If I have an extension for my Gunfighter mark 2 , what is the maximum spring strength I should use ? Also, what is the best way to get smoothness of motion around the center of stick movement? Is it damper adjustment or spring strength?

The max load for extensions is 2x50 springs per cam.
Your base being a MKII it might be the time for regreasing the dampeners.

Thanks! That brings up something else I don't understand though . What is the function of the springs vs. the dampers. Which will give me more fine control & smoothness?

Harder springs versus softer springs is a personal choice (even though adding an extension it's pushing towards hard springs use), same as dampeners activation. Too much dampener and the stick won't be able to recenter by itself though; this could be countered by increasing the deazone on the pitch and roll axes or using hard center cams. You'll have to play with all these adjustments until you'll find your own sweet spot.

Thanks for these links. I think I'll try re-greasing the dampers. Is Nyogel 767a still the most recommended grease? Anything cheaper that's as good?
