Hiya
I have a Gladiator NXT with Premium Left grip that doesn't register with VKBDevCfg-C or ZBootloader2 programs. I have confirmed that the grip is working OK in a different base.
When I plug the joystick in the LEDs on the grip flash on for around a second - white and red - then just the main LED comes on blue and stays on.
If I press the hat I can switch between analogue and digital - ie the red LED indicates which state the hat is in.
I carried out the EVO upgrade on this stick - which worked OK apart from the pitch/Y axis not responding to input.
I backed out the upgrade to double check operation of the joystick - which is when there were problems.
When I first plugged it in, Windows came up with an error message that there was a problem with a USB device that I had just plugged in.
I then unplugged it - checked - then when I plugged it back in Windows didn't even register the fact - and it is now in the state as described.
Are there any checks/tests I can carry out to try and find the issue?
I suspect that the control board has failed and, as it is the original model, it'll be difficult to find a spare to 'fault find' on it - but I'll ask the question anyway!
Thanks for any help in advance
Kevin

Re: Help with faulty Gladiator
Attached screenshot of configurator - but it doesn't detect anything.
I've left the grip in the device for the photo of the internals.

Re: Help with faulty Gladiator
Still the same result with both sensor wires disconnected - not detected.

Re: Help with faulty Gladiator
Now you need to bring the conductors in this loop to the correct location, according to the picture. Use a pin, needle to lift the latch.
When you do this and connect the cables, we will try to flash it again. There are two Boot pins next to the Y sensor connector. After disconnecting the USB cable, short these 2 pins and only then connect the USB cable. After that, you can remove the jumper. The device should appear in the configurator. By running the zBootloader2.exe file, you can flash the controller.

Still no response after powering on with Boot jumper shorted.
NB I double checked as the connectors in the photo you posted have a different orientation - but as the sensor connectors are keyed it was all good.

Re: Help with faulty Gladiator
Once again - disconnect both cables from the controller (both from the sensor and from the grip) and with the configurator window open, try to start with a jumper.

Hiya
Do I assume that we have exhausted any fault finding that can be carried out remotely?
Thanks for all the help so far!

Re: Help with faulty Gladiator
Try all these steps with a different USB cable. It is not special, so it is suitable for other equipment.
The question is what does this phrase mean -"I carried out the EVO upgrade on this stick - which worked OK apart from the pitch/Y axis not responding to input"?

Re: Help with faulty Gladiator
I've worked through all the checks using a different USB cable and it is still the same.
I carried out the upgrade to EVO on this Gladiator following the Youtube video instructions very carefully.
After the upgrade when I checked the Pitch/Y axis wouldn't respond to movements of the joystick.
In hindsight what I should have done is stopped right there and raised a question on the Technical Support forum....
.....but I didn't and reverted the joystick back to its original state - which is where things went wrong.

Re: Help with faulty Gladiator
The Y sensor is currently in the original base. Do you want me to move it over to the EVO for the photo?
