Every few days my joystick won't turn on when the PC is turned on. This is very annoying, because I need to re-bind all of the controls on it each time this happens. How can I stop it from doing this?

The joystick not turning back on together with the computer might indicate not enough power reaching it - try connecting directly to the motherboard, no USB hubs, no extensions. Could also try to remove other USB devices if you have lots.
Don't understand the second issue though; if the joystick works and is recognized why would you have to rebind again? This seems a game issue. Just to be sure everything is fine from joystick side, have you followed the guide (from timestamp)? This is valid for both NXT and NXT EVO.
