F-14 stick will not flash / be recognised by GF Mk3

I have just bought the F-14 stick to use on my GF Mk3. Already owning the MCG Pro, I'd like to switch between the two for different games ideally.

I have tried to flash the F-14, but it won't work, nor will it show as being recognised by the black box. I've followed both the updated and the outdated official VKB videos on this topic and tried searching for answers elsewhere, and nothing seems to work.

How do I move forward from here? Is my new F-14 stick broken, or is this an issue with the VKB software?
