New product Gunfighter Mk2 Pro Ultimate with Twist, plus 200mm extension, plus large bracket. All assembled, changed springs, adjusted tension and feels good mechanically. Plugged in and lights come on. Watched video on "calibrating" and took notes on what to do. Software? Visited website, downloaded Zip file and extracted documents which are in my PC's "Documents" folder. Found Gunfighter/mk2/black box folder and in that the file for my stick. Now the problem. It has an iTunes symbol next to it. If I go to "Open with" I see options like Internet Explorer, Adobe, Paint etc - and finally "open with another program on this PC'". Cannot see anything that relates. So cannot open or run file. Can get up option for "open", "save", "open and save". But open with what and/or save to where? Suck
Re: Software
The main questionis What do you want to do?
What is the name of .zip? What does it contain? Where have you found Gunfighter/mk2/black box folder? Files in this folder are firmwares. To use them you must use configuration software vkbdevcfg.exe, tool for firmware update zbootloader.exe.
User manual is here https://mega.nz/file/0Bl1TSQA#et4YmCbtb ... 5-FBvtCmqI

Re: Software
Hey graham,
I believe this is the file you use for your firmware update when using VKB Bootloader. You do not need to open that file.
Here is a video on this,

Hope this helps

Re: Software
In response to "what am I trying to do": I am trying to make the item I purchased operational. As I have already explained, I Went to your “downloads” page. Downloaded VKB Device Firmware (v2.11.5) – 5 July 2022 zip file. Followed the path Gunfighter series / Mk2 black box / which took to me to a file called "BB_Mk2_ Gunfighter_MCG_PRO_Twist_v2_11_5.vkb" (a 78kb file). So yes, it looks like I may have located. But where does "VKBDevCfg-C.exe come from"? I am not seeing it anywhere.
Re: Software
OK, had "BB_Mk2_ Gunfighter_MCG_PRO_Twist_v2_11_5.vkb", now have config file and bootloader. Late, will run it all Wednesday and see how it goes.

Re: Software
Hi Graham, I couldn't find your post, so I've sent you an email a few minutes ago. Maybe you'll find the reply faster here so here it is:
Let's take it from beginning: please make sure the fasteners on the extension and on the grip are tightened really good; if they're loose, the grip and the extension will move during flight and the connectors will get damaged.
Then, about configuring your device: as that's a new device there's no need to flash with a new firmware. You just need to do a calibration, test it and if everything works fine you're good to go. You will only need the native software, VKBDevCfg, which you could get it from here: https://vkbcontrollers.com/wp-content/u ... .92.33.zip. After you downloaded the program unzip it in a folder and run the .exe file as Admin. When the program is loaded select your device in the blue window at the top, then click the Default button under the Tools tab. After this, please follow step by step this guide for calibrating it: https://youtu.be/c4WREzN19pE. After the calibration you could test your axes in Test/Axes1 tab and the buttons in Test/Buttons tab. The next step is binding the joystick in your game(s).

Re: Software
fallout9 thank you for your response. I believe the extension is tight but will double check it. I had downloaded the file "BB_Mk2_ Gunfighter_MCG_PRO_Twist_v2_11_5.vkb" (a 78kb file). I had also dowloaded the "VKBDevCfg-C.exe" file you refer to and have watched the "calilbration" Youtube video you refer to and have taken notes. I have also downloaded the "zbootloader" file Scarekrow recommend along with the guide https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5SoYSUYClE&t=0s they also suggested. Can I please clarify before using these files:
(1) I will use "BB_Mk2_ Gunfighter_MCG_PRO_Twist_v2_11_5.vkb" (a 78kb file) and "VKBDevCfg-C.exe" and then the follow the step in the "calibration" video you refer to?
(2) do I also use the " VKB Bootloader" file and follow the steps in the Youtube video https://mega.nz/file/0Bl1TSQA#et4YmCbtb ... 5-FBvtCmqI ?
(3) if I get this up and running, is there any guide or video outlining the potential used of the numerous buttons,switches and mini-sticks the stick has?
(4) is there anything else I should do, know or read up on (any advice welcome).
Graham

Re: Software
Don't worry about flashing at this point, there's nothing to gain by flashing a new device.
Do this:
1. Tighten the fasteners really good;
2. Run VKBDevCfg as Admin, select the device name in the device list at the top, blue window;
3. Click the Default button under the Tools tab;
4. Calibrate using as guide this video: https://youtu.be/c4WREzN19pE
5. Test axes in the Test/Axes1 panel;
6. Test buttons in Test/Buttons panel;
7. Bind the joystick in game.
