I have Gladiator NXT EVO ‘Space Combat Edition’.
One dry clutch screw came out recently. I have both screws tightened very lightly - just my preference.

My question is: can I just remove dry clutch screws and safely use this stick?

It is definitely safe. Just put them somewhere safe, so you won't lose them.
