2D Circular deadzone

Hi, Im trying to set up a 2D circular deadzone on my VKB Gladiator Evo analog mini-stick, to make it better for smooth camera movements. However when I enable this, the deadzone just gets disabled on both of the axis.

Here is a screenshot of my settings + joystick tester to try to demonstrate how there is no deadzone (the settings have been Set on the joystick, and has also been tested in-game).
I'm wondering if theres something I've configured wrong here, Id be happy to provide more screenshots

The 2D feature is supposed to get enabled on the vertical axis and will affect in the same manner the horizontal axis. The deadzone is also applied on both axes and could be adjusted in the dialog box that shows up when you check the 2D box.
