Dear all, what parts do I need to make an extension for the cable that connects the stick to the base (to support a 3d printed extension)?

Please don't. Extensions are not advised on the EVOs.

Hi fallout9. Why is that - it is a fairly short extension, approx 3.5cm so should not be putting undue stress on the stick (besides one very rarely uses full deflection)

Even with a short extension the lever gets longer and applies more tension on the gimbal; also the fulcrum is changing. Not saying that it will break, but this would definitely push the joystick outside optimal parameters.
