Never truly idle

I'm having an issue with my throttle on my VKB Gladiator's throttle. The idle value never reaches 65535 but stops at 63066 or similar values. It actually seems to skip between multiple numbers instead of settling on one.
I tried resetting the joystick as well as calibrating it. Any ideas how to fix that?

Update to latest software and update the firmware please:

- delete all VKB files from your hard drive;
- download VKBDevCfg, zBootloader and the firmware package;
- unzip them all 3 in the same, dedicated folder;
- from the firmware folders keep only the file called _Gladiator_NXT_v2_11_5.vkb and delete the rest;
- run zBootloader, select your device name from the lower half of the window and press the Start Boot button;
- select the bootloader from the lower part of the window;
- press the ... button, navigate to the folder with the firmware file and load it up;
- press the Flash It! button;
- after the zBootloader quits run VKBDevCfg and press the Default button under Tools tab;
- navigate to Global/External/ExternalDevices and press the Find&Autoconfig button;
- press the Start Calibr button under Tools tab and calibrate all axes by moving them slowly, a few times, through their whole range;
- press the End Calibr when done.

Unfortunately the issue is back. Physical idle position on the stick is giving various positions in the config app.
63355-63643 roughly is what I observe

It might need regreasing. To get it similar with factory default the Nye PG-44A grease is highly recommended. Nyogel 767A is also good, but it's not as viscous as the first one.
Until then, other options would be getting the #30 springs installed or increasing the dead zone with 1pt on that axis.

Just to be sure we are talking about the throttle? I took the joystick apart and can't find how the springs would affect the throttle.
Please advise.

Oh, you mean the mini-throttle on the base? In this case post a pic please showing the Profile/Axes/Logical and Physical panels.

Yes, the mini throttle. I'm not sure what you want me to take a picture of. The throttle? Software?

Yup, run VKBDevCfg, click the Profile tab, then Axes Logical and Physical.

Looks like you're still on old firmware; I posted a walkthrough above for flashing to latest firmware. Could you please update the firmware and test again?

Hmm weird it showed a successful firmware update. Let me redo it.

It looks like the firmware update went through. The issue still seems to be happening after loading default settings and re-calibrating.
