You can try changing the calibration algorithm.
To do this, check the "ACn" checkbox on the 4th axis in the physical axes, press Set to write to the controller, and before calibrating, set the lever to the center, approximately.
When calibrating, move the lever in both directions from the center.
A screenshot of Profile-Axes will be helpful after that.

Increase slightly the dead zone at the edges of the axis (DzHi) from 3 to 5, for example.
