T-Rudder Pedals Mk.IV + Gunfighter Mk.III MCG Pro twist

Postby RHK111 » Tue Jul 26, 2022 20:28

Hi,

Today I recived my T-Rudder Pedals Mk.IV, and after conect it to BlackBox of my Gunfighter Mk.III MCG Pro w/ twist my BBox don´t detect pedals (no green led). My Pedals working with own BBox. I can´t connect my Gunfighter to Pedals BBox (BBox not recognize it - T-Rudder firmware only). I revised this furum and It is possible to conect Pedals to Gunfighter BBox, but when Gunfighter BBox detect pedals (not my case). My Gunfighter have twist axis.

Best regards.

Check this similar thread please. The idea is that you can't run the rudders on the same BB with an Ultimate, as the grip already has 8 axes, which is the Windows' limitation. If you don't need it, you could lock the twist, reflash the BB with the firmware for the Ultimate without twist and have the rudders occupying that axis.
If used in the same BB with other device, the rudders won't show up in VKBDevCfg, but will occupy axis nr. 7.

I have no your answer, so from the beginning. Modern FW allows to distribute axes between 2 virtual controllers. I have no MCG w/twist, but try to solve problem.
FW 2.1.1.7. vkbdevcfg.exe 0.92.35.
Enable 2nd virtual controller.
2ndvc.jpg

Note. Thus we make axes of this controller visible.
Open Global-External-External devices tab.
extdev.jpg

MCG sends some axes to controller. Axis#1 from grip (left HAT) becomes virtual axis 3 of virtual controller 1.
axis3-27.jpg

However It is registered as #7 in joytester. This is because of default axes names consequence.

I like it native)
HIDnative.jpg

Return to extDev.
Axis #2 -> 1/4
Axis #3 -> 1/5 (right HAT)
Axis #4 -> 1/6 (right HAT)
V_Mars Axis #5 -> 1/8 (brake lever)
More interesting begins)
V_Mars Axis #6 -> 2/1
V_Mars Axis #7 -> 2/1
Folding trigger! It is axis. Usually invisible. But we made it visible.
V_Mars Axis #8 -> 1/7 (twist)
We can reassign axes from MCG grip to 2nd controller. Their places will be free for other axes.
2_2ndVC.jpg

Do not forget to press SET button to save changes!
2nd VC axes numbers begin from 9. T-rudders by default occupy axis#7. Set its input as D-Mars.
axes_setup.jpg

Open Test - Axes1 tab.
Select 1st VC from combobox.
vc-select.jpg

It has 1, 2 axes - from Base, Axis #7 - T-rudder, #8 - Brake lever.
testVC!_axws.jpg

Select 2nd VC.
testVC2_axws.jpg

Axis #1 - folding trigger, 2... 5 - HATs, #6 - twist.
Windows ang games will recognize joystick as two separate devices with own axes.

Try and be lucky!

Hi,

Thank you very much for your help. Effectively it is a limit of 8 axes per device (in Windows). But I have no problem, I'll use 2 BBox to maintain Gunfighter's twist as L/R brake.

Best Regards.
