Hello, Im new to professional level HOTAS equipment (I very much enjoy my new MCG ultimate). I have a question regarding setting up my flightstick. I plan to use a 200mm extension for a centered flight stick and was wondering what springs are best to use for it. I heard also of people using double springs (what does that mean and how do they do it?). I want something with good resistance and centers nicely. Speaking of which, is it normal for my flightstick to not exactly return to center? MSFS2020 sometimes shows that the flight stick doesn't always return to center accurately. I currently have #40 springs in I think.

Install the first spring only in this way, and put the second one next to it. Everyone has their own preferences for the choice of cams, the number and stiffness of the springs, the degree of tightening of the dampers. So it's hard to give advice.

I have the MK 3 Gunfighter and 4 grips. I also have the 200mm extension. Right now, I'm using the new KV 12 WW2 grip. I have 4 50A springs installed. One spring on each axis. I don't know what difference the A makes in the 50 spring but that's what I'm using. The stick moves in all directions, and centres perfectly. All I did in the base, was tighten the dry clutch a bit. Other than that, everything else is the way the MK3 was delivered. Try it. It's almost a guarantee that you'll love it. One more thing, a 50A spring on each axis is totally safe. Let us know how it works out for you. Take care...Eddie.

Just to clarify above, it is totally safe to use 4 springs when using the 200mm extension. I've never tried it without the extension. Thanks all..
