Gladiator NXT EVO SCG + GNX SEM

I don't believe I'm the first person with this issue, but I can't find previous forum threads talking about this...
Due to the 3-pin/4-pin discrepancy between older and new Gladiator bases, the instructions for connecting the GNX SEM module did not match my hardware configuration, and I attempted to connect my Gladiator+SEM via the included 4-4 pin connector. It was only after noticing issues attempting to configure the SEM that I browsed forums and learned about needing to install the 3-pin connector into the 4-pin bus on the Gladiator. However, after installing the proper 3-4 pin connector, I cannot get the SEM to work, and I have to try a combination of default resets and calibrations just to get the Gladiator to function correctly.
How should I go about resolving this? Are the buses on the Gladiator base / SEM no longer functional, or is there a software/firmware flash that can restore it? I only see previous firmware available online (2.09.0 vs 2.111 that came installed on my Gladiator). If not, what should my next steps be?
Thanks for the help,
