GNX-THQ Erratic throttle

Hello, I hope I'm posting in the right area.
I attempted to make a ticket on the VKB Europe website but nothing is showing.

I have a GNX-THQ + some other modules + stick since around January and have had a few hours of use on them due to other commitments. I've had them set up and on the desk for these months so dust may be an issue although I have taken the cover off to inspect it and there is nothing obvious in the way. In any case, the right most throttle on the GNX-THQ is a bit erratic, it will jump all over the place even after calibration. I found that I can calibrate it and it will be fine for a brief moment then it will be back to registering random inputs.
When I first set up the quadrant, I found that all 3 axis were misbehaving until I tightened them up just a little bit with the clutch screws on the top. With the right axis, tightening it a lot can make it behave a little bit more, but it does not solve the issue. I'm a bit lost on how to fix it at this stage. Any help would be appreciated

Those bolts are not for adjusting the axes, they are just a mechanical dampener for the axes' levers.
Please post a screenshot with VKBDevCfg showing the Profile/Axes/Logical and Physical Axes charts.

Select your device in the device list and press Default button under the Tools tab.
Select your device in the device list, navigate to Global/External/ExternalDevices panel and click the Find&Autoconfig button.
Select your device in the device list and calibrate:
- press the Start Calibr button under the Tools tab;
- move the joystick all its axes - pitch, roll, twist it, push the minithrottle up and down;
- press the center push button of the ministick and move it all around;
- push the 3 axes on the THQ modules through their whole range;
- if you set up any axes on the SEM include them in this process too;
- when done press the End Calibr button.

Let's try and see if it acts the same on another firmware:

- download the latest configurator, bootloader and firmware package;
- unzip them all in the same, dedicated folder;
- run zBootloader, select your device from de device list in the lower half of the window, then click the Start Boot button;
- click the zBoot device that shows up in the device list screen, then click the ... button on the upper right side and navigate to the firmware file (_GNX_USB_Controller_v2.09.0.vkb) - load it up;
- click the Flash It! button and wait for the flashing operation to end;
- zBootloader should close by itself;
- run VkbDevCfg as Admin and select your device in the upper blue device list;
- click the Default button under the Tools tab;
- after restart select again your device, navigate to Global/External/ExternalDevices panel and press the Find&AutoConfig button;
- calibrate by pressing the Start Calibr button, moving the 3 axes through their whole range, then clicking the End Calibr. button.

Thank you for the detailed replies so far.
I've carried out your instructions to the letter, flashed with the latest firmware and re-calibrated with the latest vkbdevcfg and I am still seeing the same problem. This appears to be a hardware issue and not a software issue at this point I'm afraid. I think I got a dud.

is there any way to replace the faulty part or am I stuck?

Update on the issue: I raised a ticket just before this thread and I realise it never sent. I had a few attempts with chrome in incognito mode and other browsers - but I found that Internet Explorer worked in the end. I can see the ticket now and I will update you on whether or not they respond. (ticket #7893)
