Gladiator NXT EVO OTA (L) + SEM + FSM + MGCU (R) issues

Postby Papy carni » Tue May 03, 2022 20:50

Hello,

I've just received and mounted a Gladiator nxt evo ota (left hand) with a SEM on the right side and an FSM connected on the SEM to complement my MGCU on the right hand.

I followed the installation guide on the youtube channel apart for pluggin the SEM on the right side of the Gladiator, and everything worked fine for a brief moment, Then after configurating the SEM Flaps and Landing gear, VkbDevCFg didn't detect the Gladiator and modules, no matter what i did.

After some troubleshootings, I'm able to have the Gladiator and the SEM working and detected , but as soon as I unplug them, plug the FSM and replug the gladiator, It fails again, I've a brief white and red light on the stick instead of the light blue and red and a blue lead near F3 but no blinking red one near F1 and all leds on SEM are off.

Is there a way to fix this ?

After futher researchs and tests, my problem is the same as in this topic:
viewtopic.php?f=25&t=6541&p=54625&hilit=fsm#p54625
The EXT2 port to plug modules on the right of the base doesn't support more than one module.
The one for plugging modules on the left works fine, but with a left OTA, you can't put modules on the left.
Simplest solution would be to have a longer connector and use the left EXT2 no matter what side are your modules.
